Beachbody Headquarters

Last Wednesday I went out to L.A. for an event, and while there, I got a chance to check out Beachbody Headquarters located in Santa Monica! It was actually pretty funny because as soon as we arrived, we weren’t really sure we were at beachbody-headquartersthe right building. I mean, we knew it was Beachbody, but weren’t sure if it was the right Beachbody building or not. We walked across the parking lot and came across this sand volleyball court, and the wall behind the court was painted blue with a big Beachbody logo right smack in the middle. Then on the other side of the parking lot was this huge building with offices, and we eventually figured out that was the place we were supposed to go.

After our meetings all day, we decided that we were going to take a tour of Beachbody Headquarters. Much of the building was under renovation because Beachbody is expanding so much, but there were a few floors, and I mean BIG floors, that were already finished. The first thing you see when the elevator doors open is this large circle with the beachbody-mission-statmentBeachbody Mission Statement. Carl Daikeler, the CEO of Beachbody, wanted to make sure that was the first and last thing that each employee saw every day. Next, you notice that everyone is walking around in casual clothing, and are very laid back. It all made sense when Bryan, AKA BC2, showed us the big framed banner that is hanging in the main hallway. It said “Dude: 1. someone with a laid back approach to life. A fellow team-member who shares our core values, is committed to excellence, and “bring’s it” every single day. 2. A person who likes to beachbody-dudework hard and play harder.” AWESOME! They walk around and call each other dudes, and apparently I am now a “dude.”

Next, we got to see the Shakeology Bar. How cool is that? They have unlimited Shakeology for every one of their employees to use, and they can make it in a Vitamix blender every day! We heard that blender going every few minutes, and we were told that they go through 5-6 bags of Shakeology per day! Holy crap, that’s a lot of Shakeology! We even got to try one of BC2’s favorite recipes, and yes, it was pure deliciousness. After that, we headed to the workout facility. I’m not going to lie, after walking in this thing and seeing 4-5 Selecttechs and Powerblocks, along with a huge pull-up bar, and other gym equipment, I was a bit jealous! And then outside of the gym they had a HUGE picture of Tony Horton and P90X.

The rest of Beachbody Headquarters was amazing, and I got to meet some really great people. I can’t get over the atmosphere in the offices, which was completely laid back, but yet focused at the same time. People were working hard, but very friendly. We had a great time, and I can’t wait to go back again!

  1. Thanks for sharing Josh. I guess its pretty cool to see a bigger picture and the behind the scenes operations. Congrats on getting to see HQ

  2. Frank /

I may have to do this. I happen to be in San Diego for a week and if it’s cool to visit them I’d love to see the place.

  3. Nice to see that you are head quartered in the US however I have had terrible experiences with your companies out sourced customer service. i would be nice to be able to speak with US customer service reps rather than those in a foreign country. when you change your policies I will renew my orders. This is by no means to offend those that purchase product and live overseas but please hire CS reps for each country so there are no communication breakdowns

  4. @Chris. If there are any issues, don’t hesitate to tell me and I will take care of it personally.
