It seems that the more successful I have become in the Beachbody Business, the more people approach me and want to become a Beachbody Coach themselves. I think what attracts people, though, is how much Melinda and I absolutely love what we do! We have freedom, both time and financial, and I think, well I know, that’s what everyone strives for. If you’re looking to become a Beachbody Coach and want to know more, I’m going to talk a little bit about my story, what’s all involved in this business, and why I feel there isn’t a better opportunity out there right now.
For those of you who don’t know, I’ve been a Beachbody Coach since July of 2008, a full-time coach since January of 2010, am currently an 8 Star Diamond Coach, and also won Top Beachbody Coach 2010 out of over 50,000 coaches here in the U.S. On top of that, my fiance is also a full-time Diamond coach as well, so we both get to stay at home every day! The best part about this business for us, though, is the fact that we get to impact thousands of lives in a positive way. The reason I became a coach was because I have always been passionate about helping other people (I used to be involved with Big Brother’s Big Sister’s), and after I completed P90X got excellent results, I knew that this program and other Beachbody products would work for them and I could help others change their lives. I didn’t join the Beachbody Business for the money, I did it to help people get healthy, feel great about themselves, and experience many more “active” years. In fact, I didn’t really understand how the business worked, and just focused on recommending the things that I’ve used and have worked for me! Once I understood how the business worked and knew I could potentially make it a full-time job, I put in 100% effort to get there as soon as possible because I couldn’t imagine a better career.
What’s interesting is that I absolutely despise selling, but yet I was one of the top in the entire company in sales last year. One of the reasons I love this business so much is that I don’t have to sell. Really, I haven’t tried to sell anything to this point in my career, and it’s something that I will never do either. I used to sell things as a Financial Advisor, and I swore I would never do it again. Since day 1, I have remained focused on helping others get healthy by recommending products that I have personally used and experienced results with. If I try something and don’t like it, I don’t recommend it. Because of this reason, it makes the Beachbody Coach opportunity extremely unique. The passion created for these products from experiencing personal results from them allows you to go out and recommend these like you are recommending a great book, movie, doctor, etc. It’s not a business of selling, but a business of recommending, and you’re not going to find anything else out there like it.
As coaches, our responsibility is to help people through various Beachbody programs. We are here to support them, encourage them, because that’s what’s most important. We don’t have to be any kind of expert. In fact, I’ll be the first to admit that I’m not an expert in any field. Sure, I’ve learned a lot over the years, but if anyone ever approaches me with a medical question, instead of attempting to answer it, I direct them to their doctor. When you have extra support with anything that you do in life, having someone there to push you, encourage you, you’re much more likely to succeed with it than by attempting it alone. That makes us Beachbody Coaches very valuable, and it was absolute genius for Carl Daikeler, the CEO of Beachbody, to see that and create this unique opportunity where we get paid to support others.
One of the greatest things about the Beachbody Business is the complete freedom it has given to my family and I. Because Melinda and I are both full-time top Beachbody Coaches, we get to stay at home every day, spend time with one another, and be here to watch our daughter grow up. We can take breaks when we want, take days off if we want, and if we feel like we need to get away for a while, we can take a vacation when we want, all while never having to report to a boss because we are business owners! On top of that, the Beachbody Business has blessed us financially to where we don’t have to worry about financial issues anymore. We struggled greatly a few years back, living paycheck to paycheck, barely able to even afford a one bedroom apartment, but a few years later our lives have completely changed for the better. Those are no longer issues for us, and we can do what we want when we want without having to worry about it. Plus, we are able to help out those closest to us, our friends and family. I absolutely love traveling, and one of my goals is to be able to take many of my friends and family on a trip one week out of every month and pay for it! It’s only a matter of time before I reach that point, and am very close to it now.
