If you come to my site often, you already know that both Melinda and I are full-time Beachbody Coaches and work from home every single day. Melinda is a Diamond Coach and I’m currently a 9 Star Diamond Coach and won Top Beachbody Coach 2010. We absolutely love what we do as coaches, and feel that we are blessed to be in the position we are today, enjoying life with complete freedom, but yet get to have a positive impact on others’ lives at the same time! There isn’t much better than that, and that’s why we feel the Beachbody Business is a unique opportunity that doesn’t come around too often. What most people don’t know, though, is how and why Team Beachbody was formed, so I figured I’d take a little time to explain it, maybe answering some questions that you have if you’re considering becoming a Beachbody Coach yourself.
Beachbody has been around since 1997, and it’s interesting that most people don’t know what Beachbody even is. They have no idea that P90X is associated with Beachbody, and that the top 5 infomercials on TV right now are all Beachbody programs! Beachbody not only has a massive program line, including P90X, Insanity, Turbo Fire, Brazil Butt Lift, and even the program created by Brett Hoebel from the Biggest Loser, RevAbs, but they also have a high quality nutrition line including products like Shakeology, the Recovery Formula, and Activit Vitamins. They are a $400M company that is experiencing unprecedented growth, and literally taking over the home fitness market! They advertise so heavily, spending about $120M a year, that they have over 50,000+ new customers coming in each week!
Team Beachbody was formed about 5 years ago, and it’s quite an interesting story about why it was formed. Carl Daikeler and Jon Congdon, the CEO and President of Beachbody, noticed that their customers were always on the Beachbody message boards, providing support and encouragement to other people going through the programs, and recommending things that they have used and have worked for them. So in a sense these customers were coaches before they were “coaches.” When Carl and Jon saw this happening and how many people were flocking to the message boards for this additional support, they had an ingenious idea to form a network marketing company and allow these unofficial “coaches” to get paid for their support and recommendations. So what they did was approach these customers who had already gone through the programs and tell them about the idea, and of course many of them thought it was excellent and decided to get on board. This is when Team Beachbody was formed and what started it all!
Now, about 5 years later, there are over 55,000 coaches here in the United States, and Carl Daikeler’s goal is to have 1M coaches. In my opinion, I believe they will get there in about 4-5 years! I’m glad that I’m a part of Team Beachbody, and feel that anyone can be successful in the Beachbody Business, just as long as they are in it for the right reasons, and that’s to help other people and provide complete freedom for their family.
