For those of you who haven’t heard yet, I ended up winning Top Beachbody Coach 2010! It’s been one heck of a journey and an incredible year, and I’m blessed to be part of a such a great company and opportunity. I think back to just two short years ago, when Melinda and I were living paycheck to paycheck, not sure where we were going to find the money to afford our one bedroom apartment, and then I think about where I’m at today, and it’s almost surreal. I had a dream, a vision, a goal to become the Top Beachbody Coach in the network, and at the time it might have seemed like a tough goal to reach, but I knew that if I put in consistent effort every day, focused on moving forward, believed in myself, stayed positive, and truly stuck with my passion for helping people and changing lives, I could reach my goal. By doing those things every single day, along with incredible support from friends and family, andwith the help from my team and mentors, I have been able to accomplish my goal and have been named Top Beachbody Coach 2010.
Being Top Beachbody Coach 2010 is far from an individual effort, and I would have never achieved this goal if it wasn’t for such an amazing team of coaches who are willing to work hard and understand the importance of helping others, being a product of the product, and are completely passionate about what they do. Every single one of them deserve this award as much as I do, and I wanted to take some time to thank them for all of the hard work that they have put into their business in 2010. Just to recap the year, we went from about 60 coaches on the team back in January of last year to over 1,100 by December. That’s an outstanding rate of growth and something that very few accomplish, but I couldn’t have done it on my own. It’s their efforts and passion that has allowed Team Next Level to reach new heights, new achievements, including me earning the Top Beachbody Coach honor.
Like I said, I would have never achieved the Top Beachbody Coach 2010 honor if it wasn’t for the support from my fiance, Melinda. I remember sitting there on the couch talking to Melinda when we were struggling financially and telling her that I could lead this family to financial freedom, but it would take great sacrifice and I would need her full support. She is such an amazing, caring woman, and told me she would support me 100% of the way. To have someone in my life that is that supportive and understands the reasons why I had to put in so much hard work, and that’s to provide complete freedom for my family, is remarkable, and she deserves this award just as much as I do.
My family has played a huge role in my success as well. Back when I was young, there are 2 things my parents taught me that really stick out: (1) Always put your family first, and (2) Never quit. In fact, we had a saying in the family, “Spencer’s never quit,” and that’s something that has stuck with me for years. I have to admit, I’m very fortunate that my parents taught me those 2 lessons at a young age because it’s something so many people never learn. Family is by far the most important part of your life, and it’s important that you NEVER forget that they always come first. So many people get completely consumed by achieving success that they push away the people they care about most. What’s the point of being successful if you don’t have anybody to share it with? Always put your family first. I would rather be poor with a loving family than wealthy with nobody, and that’s the truth.
My friends have been important in my development as a successful coach as well. I’m very lucky to have such supporting friends who never once put me down for getting involved with an MLM. To have the kind of friends that I do is a rarity, and I have to thank each of them for their love and support throughout my journey as a Beachbody coach. You guys know who you are, so thank you!
I have to thank my mentors for guiding me in the right direction, being great examples, supporting me with my decisions, and being great friends. The one thing that people know about me is that I’m always shutting my mouth and opening my ears because everybody has something that I can learn from. People like Craig Holiday, Barbie, Tommy, Traci Morrow, Larry Zimberg, and even Carl Daikeler have taught me to be humble, prioritize, and how to emerge as a great leader. Even when they aren’t helping me, I’m watching them, studying them, because they lead by example, one of the most, if not the most important aspect in developing as a great leader. They are people who are passionate about helping others, put family first, work hard, show great leadership, have integrity, and strive to improve every single day. I have great respect for every one of my mentors, and I have to thank them for the impact they have had on my life and success as a coach.
Last, but certainly not least, I have to thank all of the people that I coach who have made the decision to change their lives using Beachbody products like P90X and Shakeology. Throughout the year I have watched so many lives change right before my eyes, people becoming confident in themselves, understanding the importance of living a healthy lifestyle, and this is what this business is all about. It’s about helping people, making a difference, and to know that I have been able to have some sort of impact, even if it is small, on someone’s life is truly an amazing feeling. Being a Beachbody Coach is such a fulfilling career, and I’m blessed to have been provided this opportunity back in July of 2008. My life is changed forever, and I promise to continue helping people change their lives, whether it’s by going through a physical transformation with Beachbody products or a financial transformation with the Beachbody Business.
Thank you all for helping me reach my goal of Top Beachbody Coach 2010!
