Make me your coach now and I will be here to answer all your questions, address all your concerns, as well as be here to motivate you while on your path to GETTING RIPPED! The best part about it is it’s free! P90X has CHANGED MY LIFE and it can for you too!

Throughout my entire life, I have been in pretty decent shape. I was in the best shape during my college baseball career, in which I lifted and worked out 7 days a week in the gym. However, I was never “ripped” like I always wanted and could never quite figure out how to get that defined 6 pack. I was that person who always blamed bad genetics for not allowing me to reach my fitness goals.

After my college baseball career ended, I had let myself go. I became about 20 pounds overweight and completely out of shape. It was embarrassing, and I was very disappointed with myself, especially when I saw pictures of myself on vacation that year. Then it started affecting everything else in my life: my relationships with family and friends, and eventually my job. It reached a point where I had enough and was ready for a change.

I then began asking around and looking for a program or routine that could get me back into shape. One night while watching TV, I saw the P90X infomercial. It caught my attention because it was different than most fitness infomercials in that they showed the people in the videos sweating and working hard, which is something that you usually don’t see. After some online research, I knew the program was for me, and ordered the DVD’s and pull-up bar.

A few days later the P90X box arrived. I was surprised to find a nutrition guide inside along with the DVD’s. I sat down and went over the nutrition guide thoroughly and realized that I had to completely change my diet in order to get maximum results. I was used to not caring about what I ate, and knew that I had to seriously cut back on all the carbohydrates and junk food I took in. I was used to eating pizza, white breads, ice cream, cookies, cake, and any other unhealthy food that you can think of, but I knew that if I wanted great results I would have to make some sacrifices.

I started P90X the day I received it. After Chest & Back, I realized why this program was so effective! After I finished the workout, I just felt like lying on the ground and not moving, which is exactly what I did. The next day I remember being the most sore than I have ever been after a workout. I felt great and knew that amazing changes were ahead!

I soon found out that following the diet was the most difficult part of the program! I would find myself craving the unhealthy foods that I was once so accustomed to eating. Also, whenever I would go out to eat, I found it very hard to order healthy food and stay within my calorie limit. I knew that in order to reach my goal, I had to strictly follow the program, which is exactly what I did.

When I finished the program, I couldn’t believe the changes that I had made. I looked in the mirror and no longer looked like the same person. I was now more confident and in the best shape of my entire life! I had a legitimate 6-pack, which I thought was impossible! Then I was approached by my coach to become a coach myself.

I decided to become an Independent Beachbody Coach in July of 2008. I never realized that this decision would have such an impact on my life! Now, two and a half years later, I’m a full-time Independent Beachbody Coach, won Top Beachbody Coach 2010 out of over 50,000 coaches in the U.S., and have been able to provide financial security for my family and I. This opportunity has changed my life, and it can for you too! If you’d like to learn more about how you can get involved with the Beachbody Business on my team, email me at

  1. Hi Josh,

I’m thinking about getting p90x (94 days until Friday of Memorial day weekend). I played sports my whole life up to D-2 college basketball and I’ve always been in good shape. I’m still in above average shape with the workouts I do on my own (not much structure or tracking) and and decent eating habits (normally crack down more as summer gets closer). I assume you are going to tell me p90x will be good to me but I’m just a little hesitant because every “transformation” I see is people that are really overweight/out of shape. I can see how it benefits people that want/need to lose a ton of weight to get in shape or “transform” their body and I think that’s great. I just want to make sure there it would make sense for me to do this when I really don’t have a lot of weight to lose… I’ll appreciate any feedback you can give me.

  2. @Rick. This program will work for you bro! With you being a former athlete, muscle memory will kick in like it did for me and you will get results faster than normal, just as long as you commit yourself to the program. If you’re looking to gain mass, then there are a few adjustments that you can make to the workouts and diet.

If you end up getting P90X and order it from this site, you will get me as your coach and I’ll be here to help you through the program.

Let me know if you have other questions bro!

  3. Hi josh,

first off I want too tell you what a awsome job you’ve done with all you do with Beachbody and of course your awsome results. To tell you the truth, your the reason I started doing p90x myself . A buddy of mine showed me your results one day on his phone at work and from that day on we both started P90X and haven’t looked back. I had a couple questions for you and was wondering what you think about supplements because I’m not taking alot of supplements . i’m halfway through my 3rd round of p90x, i just take whey protien shake after my workout which is at night before bed. I’m also taking creatine in that shake also. I also take cla 3 times a day to supposivly get rid of the unwanted belly fat, and a mens daily multivitamin. I feel like everyone else is taking alot more supplements and getting quicker results . One reason I don’t take anymore is I just can’t afford it. I guess what I’m trying too say is can I still get good results by not taking more supplements? I eat good high protien meals everyday and workout 5 days a week. I stareted out at 183 lbs and after my 1st round i was down too 160. I’m down too 155 now .

  4. Josh /

@Dan. Thanks bro! I’m a big believer in taking the RIGHT supplements, and it looks like you’re on the right track. You might want to look into a recovery drink like the P90X Recovery Formula, which is what I take after every workout. The two supplements that I take along with that are whey protein and Shakeology.

Also, have you made me your coach yet? If not, here’s the link to do so:

  5. Hey Josh ! thanks for the responce , how do I change coaches.I was already assigned a coach back when I opened my free account?

  6. Josh /

@Dan. If you would like to make a coach switch, you simply have to send a one line email to telling them that you want JOSH SPENCER (Coach ID 47458) at to be your coach. Make sure to include your FULL NAME and email address and to copy me on the email so I can follow up.

  7. Dan /

Thanks Josh , I sent out the request too have you as my coach . Oh by the way that post you have about your friend that took 5 rounds of p90x too get results he wanted, was a awsome motivation for me . Thats probably what its going too take for me to get the results I want.

  8. Renny /

Hi, I want to lose my post-pregnant belly (even though my son is now 7 years old!), getting toned all over and have more energy. I’m starting my p90x today and just requested you to be my coach. I’m 5’3″ and 115 lbs – never committed to any type of exercise for more than 2 days in my entire life. So.. should I start with Lean or Classic?

  9. Josh /

@Renny. Hey! Sorry I haven’t gotten back to you until now, but I just got back from a week long trip to France! In fact, I’m still sitting here in the airport, but working a little on getting caught up. Anyways, start with the Classic! That’s what my fiance started with when she had our daughter Madison.

  10. Jeremy /

    Hey Josh,
Thanks for your help and motivation. I’m starting p90x next week and my physique is a lot tile yours was so I’m hoping a can get similar results. What can I do this week to get ready to start next week and be most effective? I don’t have much of a chest but would like to build mass on my chest I would like some advise on how to Taylor my workouts towards that. Thanks again so much looking forward to hearing from ya. God bless.

  11. @Jeremy. Hey bro! First of all, have you made me your coach yet? If not, make sure you do so that I can be here to help you through the entire program! Just click on the link in this post.

Also, it’s going to be VERY important that you follow the diet and the workouts exactly how they’re set up! I tell all the people that I coach that 80% of your results come from the diet, just to put it into perspective.

  12. Jeff G /

Hey josh I started p90x and I’m now on week 7 .my results have been good but not excellent like urs were on day 40 ,would it be a good idea if I started doing “doubles” ,would it give me faster results ?oh by the way I have been following the nutrition plan:-)

  13. Josh /

@Jeff. You can do Doubles if you want, but just make sure that you increase the calories slightly or else you will “bonk” during your workouts and throughout the day. If you can commit to it, go for it! Also, have you made me your coach yet? If not, here’s the link!

  14. Bubba horton /

    Hey Josh,

I am a 40yo tub of goo at 5’11 210. My username is musclymedic. (should be sgtfatass). Anyway, I have been doing insanity with my two older kids because they have been dipping into the goo gut cabinet like I have. I also have started p90x in the morning. I’m dedicated to the effort. My issue is supplements and diet. Thermogenecs make my chest hurt. Im taking whey and a gnc vita pak and just ordered shakeology. Going to order the p90x recovery. Am I ok with that? How do I get off the crap food? My schedule is at max capacity so getting elaborate on a diet is not happening. I would like to get to 170 or so and then put back on 10-15 via body beast. Can you advise me?

  15. @Bubba. The first thing that I encourage you to do and what I did during my first round of P90X is go through your cupboards and throw away ANY junk food! You can’t eat it if it’s not there. Remember, the diet is the MOST IMPORTANT part of this program, and if you really want to change, you’ve got to commit yourself. Also, start logging what you eat into the My Fitness Pal iPhone application. It’s not hard to do, and it will help you see if you’re on track or not.

Supplements look good. I’ve never taken the GNC vita pak, and I’m not too sure it’s necessary either since you have Shakeology. I don’t take any other vitamins other than what’s in Shakeology. And yeah, the Recovery Formula is great.

    Also, I’m your coach right?

  16. Hey Josh”. Im 23 and have Made a beach body account a few weeks back and it chose my coach for me. I been doing P90x for two years inconsistently but been doing it seriously for the last 2 months. Im getting small results but I’m ready to take it to the next level up my weight and be In the best shape of my life! Can I change my coach ? And if I can how do I request you as a coach?.

  17. @Will. Hey bro! Yeah, you can switch coaches over to me. Just email and tell them you want to switch to Josh Spencer, Coach ID 47458. Make sure you include your first and last name. Once you request the switch, head on over to my Facebook page and “Like” it. That’s where you will contact me when you have any questions!

  18. Tracey /

Hi Josh! Firstly, you are awesome! I am in week two of p90x and loving it, but need some advice, I only have a bit of fat to lose as I am slim but want my abs to be able to stand out and lose a bit of fat off my thighs so do you still think Classic will be okay? Also, does doing the same ab ripper still work or do you have to change the ab exercises sometimes? Finally, are there any foods you would absolutely ban, and what would you say about treat day?

    Sorry for so much!!

    Thanks in advance 🙂

  19. @Tracey. Thanks! 🙂 Yeah, I think the Classic is the way to do. I’m a big believer that if you want the best results you have to have a balance of resistance and cardio training. Also, right now I’m actually doing Ab Ripper again, but I will mix it up every once in a while, maybe doing the ab routine from P90X2 or even Brazil Butt Lift. As far as foods I would ban, just any sweets or anything high in sugar and fat! With cheat meal days, I’m all for it AFTER you have completed a round! Once you reach your goals, then you can engage in a cheat meal every once in a while.

    Also, am I your coach?

  20. How do I make you my coach? I am going to get some Shakeology like you suggested in a post as it looks amazing!

    Thanks again

  21. @Tracey. Do you already have a Team Beachbody account? If not, just go to this link!

If you do already have an account, let me know and I’ll tell you how to still make me your coach.
