@Bernard. I don't like it at all, and in my personal opinion is extremely dangerous and not smart to do, especially with intense workout programs. If you want the best results, follow the diet that comes with P90X or Insanity.

Hey Josh,

What are your thoughts on a diet that forces the body into ketosis? I've done P90x and Insanity and am currently rocking a good body fat %, Im just curious about a diet like this...I mean you can eat 75% fat and 25% protein and still be using fat as your fuel. Who can turn down a bacon and cheese omelet?!

Give me your thoughts man, thanks.

@Nick. If you don't have any body fat to lose and are just looking to gain weight, then you're not going to want to start on the Fat Shredder, but if you have any body fat you want to get rid of, then start with it.

Hey Josh, if you don't mind I've got a question for you...

I'm kind of stressing over this diet, being aware that 80% of the results come from commiting to the diet. I'm 19 years old, 6'0 and 170 pounds. I'd consider myself reasonably fit and don't necessarily have a lot of fat to 'lose'. My question is, would you recommend that everyone who is starting P90x begin on the fat shredder phase, or based on some of the info I gave you, would it be wise to start on the energy booster phase? I'm starting P90x mainly to shape and tone my body, and to gain some more muscle mass. I should also mention that I recently comepleted a round of Insanity without too much dificulty, however, not following the diet, I felt my results were not as maximized as they could have been. I appreciate you taking the time to read, and look forward to your response.

Thanks

@JT. What you need to do is log that into myfitnesspal.com so that you know the exact nutritional breakdown. The foods you're eating look pretty good, though.

Yo Josh!

Brother, first let me say this, you da man. Lovin the results, so glad to see such an inspiration.

Anyways, I was curious if you could take a look at my diet. I've already done P90x and am really just planning on following this diet until it comes time where I need to start getting my body ready for the beach. I feel like this is an approach where I can continue to still burn fat, but not prevent myself from some of the great foods I will have to later on while cutting.

Breakfast
1 Cup of Kashi Go Lean Cereal
1 Cup Skim Milk
1 Cup Assorted Berries (Black, Blue, Rasp)
About 500 cals

Snack
Greek Yogurt
1 Apple
About 200 cals

Lunch
Turkey and Ham(97% fatfree)Sandwich w/ 1 Slice Cheese
About 450-500 cals

Dinner
1/2 can of chicken/tuna
1 Cup Brown Rice
Chopped asparagus/spinach
A little olive oil
About 450-500 cals

Snack
Greek Yogurt
120 cals

I would really appreciate your insight Josh. I know you can't give your whole two cents without more macronutrient numbers, but just from a small view, how's it look?

Thanks man.
Also, I will subscribe to you tomorrow!

@Mike. If you're looking to lose weight, then take in closer to the 2nd number.

Also, have you made me your coach yet? If not, then here's the link to do so: http://bit.ly/hFNZQl

Hey Josh, through the calculations I have a 2784 calorie energy needs putting me into level II. Although when I make a meal plan following the portion approach my calories end up being around 1975 for the first phase (fat shredder) is that ok? or am I doing something wrong and should be eating more calories (around 2784?). I plan to start p90x in 2 days and wanted to get this figured out before I start so I'm not failing. Thanks!

@Kjetil. I did 12-15 reps during my first round. You will want to stay lean as a dancer, so stick with 12-15.

Hey man:)
how many reps did you focus on in your 90 days?
i am a breakdancer so what would you suggest me to focus on?
I want my muscles to show ( like yours exapl) but i do not want to bi big because that can make it harder to breakdance.
Thanks man:)
