A True Inspiration

As I was sitting here thinking about what I was going to write about for the day, I went over to Facebook and a video was the first thing I saw on the “News Feed.” This video is one that I have seen before, and it’s about a man named Nick Vujicic. Nick has no arms and no legs, and if he wanted, he could be very bitter at the world. Instead, he’s one of the most positive people that I’ve seen. Of all the adversity that this man has been through, he’s been able to stay positive, smile, accomplish his goals, stay active, and help others. Before I go on and talk about the video, I think that you all should watch it..

Wow. Really, that’s all I can say. Talk about an inspiration. If you think that you have it hard, you need to stop and really take a look at yourself in the mirror. The reason I wanted to post this video is because I hear so many of you making excuses every day as to why you can’t accomplish your goals. You have an “I can’t” attitude when really it should be “I can.” You can’t get into shape, you can’t be successful with your job, you can’t get out of debt, you can’t, you can’t…it just doesn’t stop. Like Nick said in the video, he could have a negative and “I can’t” attitude, but instead, he’s thankful for being alive and enjoying life, doing everything he’s always wanted to do. He’s a go-getter, motivator, and doesn’t make excuses to why he can’t accomplish something. “I can’t” just isn’t in his vocabulary.

Some of you need to learn a lesson from Nick. You have it a lot better than you think you do. So, next time you don’t want to work out because you’re too tired or don’t have time, think about Nick and the obstacles that he’s been able to get around. I can assure you it will get your butt in gear. Next time you come across a great business opportunity and feel like “you can’t,” think about Nick and what he’s been able to accomplish. Most people don’t give themselves enough credit and feel that they can’t do something, when really, the only thing stopping them is themselves. In the video, Nick says, “It’s a lie to think you’re not good enough. It’s a lie to think you’re not worth anything.” I don’t care how many times you have to watch this until it sinks in, but just make sure it sinks in. Truly an amazing story.
