Another Shakeology & P90X Story

I’ve been so excited and impressed with a friend of mine’s P90X and Shakeology results that I decided to make a post about it before he’s even finished his 90 days. In fact, he’s only completed something like 50 days of P90X, but has already had a transformation that most people don’t even get after completing 2 rounds! In about 50 days, he has lost over 50lbs. Yeah, that’s a pound lost per day. How? He has committed himself entirely to the P90X Nutrition Guide, Shakeology, and the P90X workouts. We thought his results would slow down, but, well, not so much.

His name is Matt, he’s 19, and he’s been a friend of mine for a few years now. Our dads own a company together, and we both got to work together for a short period while I was transitioning from a part-time to a full-time Beachbody Coach. When I stopped working with him, he started working more frequently with my dad, who eventually got him to commit to P90X and Shakeology. Matt saw the kind of results that dad was having with P90X and decided that he was tired of being out of shape and was ready for a change. Matt will tell you, he was very overweight and has been that way his entire life. He always wanted to lose weight, but didn’t know how. Dad told him exactly what he needed to do and that it would be very tough, but without thinking twice about it, Matt said he was ready to do whatever it took. He hasn’t stopped since.

After about 50 days of using Shakeology every day, committing to the diet, completing each and every workout, and with the support of dad and I, he has gone from 295lbs to 242lbs. We all cannot believe the weight loss that he has experienced and are all very proud of him and the hard work that he has put in. He even just decided to become a coach so that he can help others like we have, and went to the Game Plan Event with us down in Columbus. We did a pretty tough workout down there, and I was very impressed with how hard he pushed himself. He was keeping up with every single one of us! He knows the definition of hard work and commitment, and doesn’t plan on slowing down. It might take him a few rounds to get completely ripped, but I guarantee you that he will get there. My guess is that he’s going to have a total weight loss of around 120lbs when it’s all said and done!

    Out of curiosity, is he doing the fat shredder phase for the whole 90 days (or at least the 50)?
    Is it possible to lose weight in the other eating phases, specifically energy booster? I think the endurance maximizer is geared towards mass and possibly added muscle weight so I doubt it in that.

    Ian. Yeah, he’s been following the Fat Shredder Phase to this point, and I’m pretty sure he’s going to continue doing so until he hits a plateau or starts losing energy.

    Sounds almost identical to my story. I’m 18 years old, started out at 288, and am now 237. I’ll be buying p90x when I hit 230.

    Rock on matt. I know how much my life has changed from losing my weight, and I’m sure you feel the same way!
