Living Your Dream

living your dreamAs most of you already know, one of the things that really bothers me is when people say they can’t do something. If it were up to me, that word would be completely kicked out of the dictionary! I’m a firm believer that anyone can accomplish anything they set their mind to, including living your dream. Using “I can’t” is selling yourself short. You can, but you just choose not to. When it comes to people creating dreams for themselves, that’s all that they remain, just dreams. Why not make your dreams a reality? If it were possible, would you do it? How much work would you put towards living your dream? What if I told you that achieving your dreams is indeed possible? It is.

One problem that people suffer from is turning their dream into reality. For some reason, the majority of people feel that a dream is always going to be a dream. This might be because they have always had people telling them that they should never dream because achieving dreams is impossible. Their entire lives they have been told “you can’t” so what do they start to believe? You guessed it, they can’t. It’s drilled into their minds that they can’t. There are so many people out there that like to shoot down people’s dreams. Why? Because it makes them feel better about not accomplishing their own dreams. If you walk up to any very successful person and ask them if you can accomplish your dream, do you know what they would say to you? Of course you can! Unfortunately, most people don’t have others to tell them that they can accomplish what they dream.

I have been very lucky and grew up in a household that taught me to dream large and never quit until you accomplish that dream. Thank God for my parents guiding me in the right direction in life, or I would never be in the situation I’m in now. Throughout my entire life outside of my family, there have always been people telling me I can’t do something, whether it be that I can’t be successful in baseball, I can’t be successful with committing to a healthy lifestyle, or that I couldn’t be successful as a Beachbody Coach. I’ve always had people telling me that I can’t, but my parents always taught me that I can. I’ve been able to let those negative things from others go in one ear and out the other. I’ve never quit in anything that I’ve done, and know that anything is possible. With this positive mentality, anything IS possible!

I’m living the dream. I’m 25 years old, don’t have to worry about financial issues, own my own business, work at home, get to spend time with my family, and get to travel around the country and help other people. Becoming a full-time Beachbody coach was my dream, but now it’s a reality, and it’s even more than I could have imagined! Just thinking that I’m going to be doing this for the rest of my life excites me, and I thank God every day for allowing me to be in this position. However, the reason I’m in this position is because I knew my dream was possible. Your dream is possible as well. If your dream is to have a job like mine, then do something about it! If your dream is to become a doctor, what’s holding you back? Seriously take some time to think about this. You can accomplish anything you want! Will it be a difficult road, full of obstacles and road blocks? You better believe it! But if you are able to stay on track and see the end of the road, you will make sure you get beyond those obstacles.

If you have people telling you that you can’t do something, that there’s no way you can accomplish living your dream, just remember that they are trying to bring you down to their level. You can do anything, you just have to believe you can. If you envision your dream, your mind will pave the way for you to accomplish it! If you want to talk about your dreams, feel free to email me. 1. You’ve got to eliminate that mindset that “I can’t. I can’t do pullups.” Don’t say I can’t, replace it with “I presently struggle with”, and in time someone whose dream was to do one or two may be able to do 20 or more.

  2. @Luke: strong words indeed!
Josh, your words also carry great motivation, I’ll be emailing you about joining the coach team as I’ve been juggling the idea in my head for some time now and I think that it’s the time to act.
