Melinda’s Updated P90X Transformation!

Most of you already know this, but my fiance Melinda’s P90X transformation is absolutely STUNNING! Back in April of 2009 we had our baby girl, Madison, and Melinda will be the first to tell you that she let loose and ate whatever she wanted during the pregnancy. I warned her about eating unhealthy and how she would regret it, but the cravings of whole pizzas, cherry Pop Tarts, and popcorn were just too much, and she gave in without hesitation. She thought that all the weight that she had gained would disappear once she had Madison, but that wasn’t the case. 2 months after she had her, she was still 35 lbs overweight, and desperately wanted to lose the weight quickly.

That was when I told her to go through a round of P90X and actually COMMIT to the diet! To be honest, I was completely surprised by her dedication to both the workouts and the diet. She went through a round of the X, got pretty good results, and then decided to go through another round, and then a round of Insanity, Brazil Butt Lift, and now TurboFire. After committing herself entirely to these programs, she has achieved absolutely outstanding results! We decided to take updated P90X transformation pictures the other day, and when we compared them to her “before” pictures, we were in shock! We couldn’t believe how far she had come! So, here are Melinda’s P90X before and after pictures.

I cannot tell you all how PROUD of her I am! She’s had an AMAZING P90X transformation! She has worked her butt off to get to where she’s at, and her confidence is now through the roof! For those of you mothers out there that feel as if there is no hope for you to get back into shape, think again! Melinda is proof that you can get back to your pre-baby body and even better. Because of P90X, Insanity, Brazil Butt Lift, TurboFire, and Shakeology, she is now in the best shape of her life and inspiring many women to get healthy!

    Tomorrow I start the X with modified moves advised by my Dr. Shoulder still hasn’t healed completely but he said it was OK to work out now. :))

  5. Hey, awesome results!!! I just had my daughter she will be 8 months at the end of the month and I’m in the worst shape of my entire life! I did the same I ate whatever I wanted because everyone told me the weight would melt right off.. Pshh yea whatever.. my stomach now looks like what her did when she first started.. I got the P90x work out regimen and I have done it once. I loved how I felt after the workout but I can’t seem to keep myself motivated. It seems as though I get distracted with other things.. If you have any tips to keep motivated to working out please tell me. I would love to get healthy and fit.
    And again the results are amazing.. great transformation.. you are a great inspiration to new mothers trying to get back into shape!!


  6. @Alex. It’s tough to stay motivated, and what you need to do is check out the posts in the “Motivation” section of this site! I’ve wrote quite a few about setting goals, positive attitude, and not making excuses. Check them out and let me know what you think!

  7. Unbelievable results! I hope that I can get the same results as she has had…I don’t need to lose quite that much weight but then again I need to lose abou 20 pounds and I don’t have the excuse of having a baby, at least she was pregnant…I have absolutely no excuse 🙁

    Congratulations, Melinda! She looks absolutely beautiful! I’m also doing P90X do get in shape for my high school track season. I only have one week left and I am so glad I actually committed to it. I was never overweight to begin with, but now my muscles are so toned and I feel so much stronger. I’ll be in the shape of my life after this training program, which is almost unbelievable to say. I am an All-State selection soccer player, play for a varsity division 1 soccer team (ranked in the top 20 nationally), and run track for a team that has been undefeated seven years now. As you can see both teams I play for are very competitive and our practices are the hardest around, and P90X still got me in better shape than I’d be in after a fall or spring season. I’d recommend this to everyone!

    Wonderful results. I have done P90x once and made it through only the first 30 days. The Yoga absolutely killed me. I hated that work out and when I would get to that day of the workout I would find excuses or only do part of the workout. When you did the P90x did you follow the lean version or the classic version? I think I am going to give it another try and this time substitute kickboxing on the yoga days or some other cardio workout. Thanks!

    @Jamie. I did the Classic version for my first two months and then switched to Doubles during the last month of my first round. MAKE SURE you make me your coach so that I can help you through this round! Here’s the link.

  11. Hi! Me and my wife are un the worst shape we have ever been. We got thd p90x dvds. We started using them but at some point you need some equipment that we dont have such the bar for back workout. Also we started the program but we found it very hard to follow and that frustated us, sunce we thought we were doing the program wrong. Is it OK, at the begginning to be lousy at the workouts? Will one improve as time goes by? We want to start once again. Congats to Melinda!

  12. @Alex. It’s very, very tough to follow at first, and that’s why Tony Horton shows you how to modify the workouts and tells you there is nothing wrong with pausing! Don’t feel guilty for doing so, I had to when I first started. Keep pushing yourself, eating healthy, and the workouts will get easier and easier! Also, am I your coach?
