Ultimate Reset Reviews: Days 7-8
Sunday was Day 7 of the Ultimate Reset, the end of week 1 (thank goodness), and it was another interesting one. Like I mentioned before, my allergies have been getting the best of me lately, and Sunday was no exception. I couldn’t even go outside at first because if I did, I’d be competing for the world record for most sneezes in an hour! What’s sucks is that Sunday was GORGEOUS out, and for the first 3/4 of the day I sat inside , worked, and then played some COD Black Ops with my friends.
About halfway through the day I started to feel yet another headache come on and then a few hours later it turned into one of those migraine like headaches that I’ve been experiencing all throughout the Reset. Light and sound seemed to be amplified and I just couldn’t take it anymore, so I decided to take one of my mom’s migraine pills. I wasn’t going to sit with that pain for another night again, and I’m so glad I took it because a half hour later I was good as new. Shortly after I decided to tough it out and go outside anyways and enjoy the rest of the evening. We threw the frisbee around and then ended up playing some Kan Jam until it got dark out. Day 7 down, on to Day 8.
Day 8 started a new week, which means a new phase for us. In this phase, called Detox, we had to start adding in the Detox formula 3 times a day with the other supplements we’re taking. From what I heard, the Detox formula tasted like crap, but honestly, I didn’t think it would taste as bad as everyone said it would until I tried it. Holy cow, that was some terrible stuff! Ugh, I don’t even know how to explain the taste. Maybe something like a grainy, lemony, garlicy, bitter taste, but regardless, it was nasty. I’m not looking forward to taking it for another 6 days, but I’m going to do what I’ve got to do.
This phase also was the beginning of lower calories and no dairy or meat, which of course I wasn’t looking forward to. That yogurt with honey in Phase 1 was absolutely delicious, and now all I can do is dream about it. Instead, I’ve got to have a fruit platter every morning for the next 2 weeks, something that’s going to be a HUGE switch up for me. However, I was surprised with just how much the fruit filled me up yesterday morning. We had grapes, blueberries, and strawberries, and it kept me full until lunch time, where we had yet another micro green salad, but this time with avocado, which I absolutely love. As a snack I had some more fruit, some blueberries and a small green apple, and it kept me full all the way until dinner, where we had sweet potato and red pepper soup along with baked asparagus with almond slivers. The food was excellent, but there was a little too much ginger in the soup. We have that same meal tonight, so I will make sure I take out the ginger and put in some cinnamon. About halfway through the day I developed another headache, and I wasn’t going to sit and hold my head all night, so I decided to take another pill to knock it out, and it did. After dinner we relaxed for the rest of the evening, watched Matrix Reloaded on the projector screen in the basement, and then went to bed around 12 AM.
So far the experience has been rough. I’m not used to not working out, eating no meat, and sticking to just about all fruits and veggies. To be honest, I don’t like it at all, and am really looking forward to day 22 where I can start adding in meat again in my diet. I am losing weight, though, and really leaning out. I have a feeling that I will be the most ripped I’ve been in at least a few years, and am really looking forward to seeing what kind of Ultimate Reset results I end up getting! I’ll keep you all updated with how my journey is going.
