Ultimate Reset Reviews: Days 9-10
Meat. That’s all I can think about. Seriously. For those of you who don’t know, the Reset requires a vegan diet, and if there is one thing I’ve learned from this program, it’s that I have absolutely NO DESIRE to EVER be vegan! It’s the craziest thing really. For the last few days I’ve been craving steak and chicken like people crave chocolate, so much that I’m counting down the days until Day 22 rolls around, just so I can have it! Just writing this post is making my mouth water. Oh man, this is going to be a ROUGH next 10 days!
OK, now on to my Ultimate Reset reviews of Days 9 and 10. Honestly, I don’t have too much to report. Surprisingly enough, my allergies have not been nearly as bad as they were over the weekend, and I don’t know if it’s because the pollen count is down or that the Reset is actually helping them. I was told that some of the other test group participants saw a significant decrease in the amount their allergies acted up during the 2nd week of the program, so I guess that could be it. Regardless, I’m just glad I’m not setting new world records for sneezing again! I’ve even been getting outside, taking walks in the evening with Madison and Melinda, and pulling weeds in our flower gardens without many problems.
I have to admit, though, that I’m getting EXCELLENT results with the Reset! Currently I’m down about 7 lbs, and even though I posted the other day that I thought I was losing mass the other day, that doesn’t seem to be the case. I actually talked to one of the health professionals monitoring the Ultimate Reset Groups, and he said that they designed the program so that you wouldn’t lose muscle. He backed up what he said with scientific proof, and of course I believe him. My body fat has gone down drastically, and I have a feeling that by Day 21 I will be the leanest I’ve been in the past few years! I guess that’s what happens when you eat a CRAZY STRICT diet for 21 days. I’m happy that I’m losing body fat, but I’m really missing my workouts. All I want to do is head down to my workout room, pick up my PowerBlocks and do some curls…
The food over the past couple of days has been decent, not great, but decent. I am getting sick and tired of the micro green salad, which is what we have been having for lunch for pretty much the entire program. It will be so nice when I will be able to have a decent lunch again that contains some meat, or even Shakeology, which I haven’t had since we started. Since we have been decreasing the calories some over the past few days, I’m starting to get real hungry late at night. I have just toughed it out to this point, but I’m probably going to start adding in an evening snack so that I’m not going to bed starving.
Also, I’m tired of being on a schedule. It’s almost like we are on a cruise again, and one thing that I hated about that cruise is that everything we did had a time. I like it when I can do what I want, when I want, and not have to report somewhere at a certain time. It feels that way with this Reset. We take out supplements, eat, supplements, eat, and so on and so forth on a strict time schedule. If I want to eat dinner at 9 PM, then I want to be able to do just that.
The Reset has been good to my body, but man am I ready to get back to my normal lifestyle! Really going to be counting down the days when I can have some meat, peanut butter, and a glass of wine again…
