Black Powder Review

black powder reviewSo most of you know that I have been taking the pre workout supplement Jack3d for the past 5 or 6 months and it has worked great! However, for the past month, I started getting nauseated about 10-15 minutes into the P90X workouts. There were a few times that I literally had to stop to run to the bathroom. As much as I enjoy the pump that I get from Jack3d, it’s not worth it if I can’t complete the workouts, so I’ve decided to try out a few other pre workout supplements. The first one that I’m trying is Black Powder, and I actually used it for the first time yesterday. Below is my Black Powder review.

Black Powder Review: Like I mentioned above, Jack3d always gave me that intial pump and I felt super energized for the workouts. However, I often got wore out pretty quickly. It’s almost like the Jack3d only works for about an hour or so after you take it. Back when I used NO-Explode, I felt super pumped for the entire workout. When I tried Black Powder for the first time yesterday, I didn’t get that intial pump that I did with Jack3d, but my endurance was way up, almost like I was taking NO-Explode again. Even though I wasn’t able to maximize my pumps, I felt like I just could keep going and going and going, which is great! As soon as I would finish a set, I was ready to go again. When it comes down to it, I like Black Powder, but still want to find a pre workout supplement that both increases my pumps and endurance. So far, I haven’t been able to find one to do that yet! I think I’m going to be trying Superpump 250 next.

    Hey josh have you ever heard of our have tried…Noxypro?
    I have been using it for about three months now..Personally I think it works just aswell as jack 3d

    Having tried a few different pre -workouts myself, i think you should look into Scivation’s new pre-workout Quake 10.0

    I have heard nothing but good things about this one.

    The other one that i would HIGHLY recommend because it ontains the proven amounts of both creatine and beta-alanine and also a heafty dose or arginine for pumps and what not is Dymatize’s Xpand Xtreme Pump.

    I started out the program using superpump 250 and LOVED it. I had used it before and it definitely got the job done for P90x. It helped my bring crazy intensity to my workouts. Because of a sale at popeyes.. I decided to try that dymatize xpand with no caffine. I can feel a tingle when it starts working and it does let me lift more, but the energy isn’t there. Being in the last week and a half of my first 90 days I am really hard up for energy and wish I still had superpump. Let me know what you think!

    First off I’d like to say that I actually made you my coach a few weeks ago after reading some of your blogs, but haven’t really posted anything. I’ve heard pretty good things about White Flood for a pre workout drink. Personally I’ve tried Vasocor from Nutrishop and was pretty happy with that, but it cost. I’m currently taking Fusion AKG that was also purchased from Nutrishop that has pretty much the same stuff in it and it’s cheaper.

    Let me know if you have any suggestions for pre-workout supplements. I think I’m going to do a different one each month, and then write a huge review on all of them!

    try NO shotgun! it’s similar to jack3d but much stronger. you only need 1 scoop!!

    Hey Josh,

    I love the Jack3d a lot…HOWEVER! For an AWESOME PUMP you have GOT to try 1MR from bpi labs….I do not work for them…I just endorse them! It doesn’t give you the high up feeling like the jack3d does but it gives you pump like nothing else. I ONLY use 1MR on my resistance days and the jack3d on the non-resistance/cardio days.

    I just completed my first 30 days and I have been using NO Shotgun, it gives me the energy I need to get through the workouts.

    yeah, u should definitely check out 1.M.R.! definitely the best one out there right now! im on it right now and i love it! and if u loved jack3d, then 1.M.R. is the closest ull get to jack3d!

    hey josh i got a question about double sessions. is it more beneficial to do the extra workout right after my regular workout or to just do one in the morning and the other later that night

    @Dave. Personally, I like to do a resistance workout and then the cardio right after if I’m doing Doubles, but the Fitness Guide recommends the cardio in the morning and resistance in the afternoon. I don’t think it matters, just as long as you take the proper recovery after each workout.
