My Shakeology 3 Day Cleanse Review: Day 1
Yesterday was my first day of the Shakeology 3 Day Cleanse, and let me just say that I was absolutely shocked when I woke up this morning and weighed myself! Before I started the cleanse I came in at 163 lbs, and this morning the scale said 157 lbs, 6 lbs lost in just one day! Apparently I had a lot of cleansing to do.
For those of you who don’t know, the cleanse involves taking in 3 Shakeology shakes per day, 2 cups of green tea, a fruit, and a salad with a lean meat. It doesn’t involve too many calories, but it’s designed that way to give you the most amount of nutrients possible with the least amount of calories. Yesterday morning I had my Shakeology, but decided to blend my fruit in with it. I wanted to make sure I ate my carbohydrate in the morning to give me enough energy to work and the ability to focus. Whenever I deprive myself of carbs and calories, I feel lethargic, weak, and not able to really focus or think about anything, making it tough to work out or even work!
At around 1:00 PM I had my second shake, and by this time I was pretty much starving, but the shake held off the hunger for a few hours. By the time 3:00 PM rolled around, I started getting really hungry again, and began getting a slight headache. I drank my 2 cups of green tea, which seemed to help a little. I knew the headache was because of the lack of carbs and caffeine (I like my coffee), and knew it would get better once I had my next meal, which was at around 6:30 PM. That was when I had my grilled chicken salad, which tasted absolutely amazing I might add! I had my last shake around 8:30 PM and then my headache started to come back. I played some video games with Melinda and then decided to go to bed.
Day 1 down, 2 more to go! If I’ve already lost 6 lbs doing the shakeology cleanse, I”m curious as to how much I’m going to lose over the course of 3 days! Found out how day 2 of the Shakeology 3 Day Cleanse went tomorrow!
