Shakeology 3 Day Cleanse Review: Day 2

shakeology 3-day cleanseWhen I woke up this morning and weighed myself, I didn’t lose anywhere near the 6 lbs that I did the first day, but I did lose another pound and a half, making it about 7 lbs lost since I’ve started the Shakeology 3 Day Cleanse! Crazy stuff, and I’m approaching the lowest that I’ve weighed in close to 10 years, and that’s 154 lbs, which was right after I finished my first round of P90X. Right now I’m at 156, and there’s a good chance I will hit the 154 mark after today. After I’m done with this cleanse, though, I’m ready to boost the cals and put on some mass! I’m going to be making a TON of adjustments to my workouts and diet in order to reach my goals.

Anyways, yesterday went by pretty fast, which is good because I was pretty hungry all throughout the day. The one thing that’s tough about a cleanse is that you’re not taking in too many calories, and when you go from 2,500 a day down to 700, your body is like “hey bud, umm, what are you doing here?” Even when I drank my Shakeology my stomach was still gurgling, but I’m a tough guy and completely sucked it up! I had a slight headache all throughout the day, but it wasn’t nearly as bad as the one I had the day before. I think one of the issues was that I didn’t drink enough water on Day 1, but it also could have been the lack of caffeine in my system. Yeah, I’m a coffee addict! I love my caffeine, and my body doesn’t like it when I deprive it of it!

I could have ate dinner at 4, but I wanted to wait until later in the evening so that I wasn’t starving before bed again. At around 6:15 PM I had my grilled chicken salad with fat free Italian dressing, and that really boosted my energy and allowed me to focus and think for my team training call that I held at 7 PM. As I said yesterday, the lack of carbs and calories really affects my brain functions, and it’s hard to really do anything! Surprisingly enough, the salad kept me comfortable for the remainder of the evening, and I actually could have gone without the last Shakeology, but decided to stick with the program and drink it at around 8:30 PM. I watched a movie with Melinda, played some Mario Wii, and then headed to bed!

Today is the LAST DAY for the Shakeology 3 Day Cleanse, and I’ll be writing my review tomorrow! It’s going well so far! A little hungry, but I’m doing just fine 🙂

  1. Hey Coach,

Love your posts & info. One question: Are you still working out during the cleanse? Thanks & have a great day!

  2. @Brian. Nope! You really can’t because of the lack of calories and carbs.
