Shakeology 3 Day Cleanse

greenberry-shakeologyAfter having a cheat meal on Thanksgiving and not working out over the weekend, I’ve decided to do the Shakeology 3 Day Cleanse to clean out my system, help me lose a few pounds, and get me super lean so I can really start focuses on my mass gaining phase that I’m doing this winter. Last time I did the cleanse, I lost 6-7 lbs and couldn’t believe how great I looked and felt afterwards!

What is the Shakeology 3 Day Cleanse? The cleanse allows you to take in the most nutrients possible out of the fewest number of calories. It helps many people break out of a plateau, as it did for me, and lose weight and body fat in a healthy way. Here’s what the Shakeology cleanse involves..

  • 3 Shakeology shakes per day (blended with ice and water)
  • 2 Cups of Green Tea
  • 1 piece of fruit
  • 1 salad for dinner with low-fat dressing
    • Lettuce
    • Veggies
    • Lean protein- chicken, fish
  • NO Dairy

You’re only supposed to do this a few times PER YEAR, so make sure you don’t go overboard by doing this every few weeks! I’m going to be starting my cleanse tomorrow (Wednesday), and would love for anyone to join me! It’s always great having a support group and accountability partners.   1. Are you supposed to work out when you do the cleanse? Reason being, the cleanse diet looks like its about 700 calories a day, and with calories burned during a workout, things could get a little hazy for a few days 🙂

  3. Hi, I really want to do this cleanse but with Christmas so close I can’t buy any more Shakeology and I only have 4 serving left. So I was wondering if I have Whey protein for the last 2 shakes if I should still get good results?

  4. @Nick. Whey protein doesn’t have nearly the nutrients that Shakeology has, so it probably isn’t a good idea.

    This would be great to do for the last 3 days of my recovery phase, right? I will be a P90X Grad Jan 2nd, and I think doing this will maximize my 90 day results pics. But no working out right? Not even during the last 3 days of my recovery week? I just haven’t missed a workout day, and wouldn’t want to miss the last 3 days.

  6. @Seth. It would definitely maximize your results by doing it during the last 3 days of your round, but the only thing is that you won’t be able to work out. The reason is because you’re not taking in enough calories.
