For some reason, most people feel that once they hit 50 years old, their fitness level is doomed. It’s almost like many of them accept that they aren’t going to be able to get into excellent shape anymore, so they don’t pay much attention to what they eat and don’t exercise regularly. However, I’m here to tell you that fitness after 50 is definitely possible, just as long as you’re able to commit yourself! How do I know? Well, both of my parents, who are 50 years old, have committed themselves to various Beachbody programs like P90X and Insanity and gotten outstanding results! In fact, both of them have abs, something you don’t see too often with people over 50.
Today, though, I just want to focus some attention on my mom. Mom has always been in decent shape, but over the past few years she noticed that her metabolism has slowed down and she was beginning to gain some weight, and that was the point where I approached her about P90X and Shakeology. I’m not going to lie, she was a bit hesitant at first, just like my father, but she decided to listen to me and jump on board. After committing herself entirely to P90X and the diet plan, she ended up getting into excellent shape and is now 50 and ripped! She actually just made a video, showing the world that great fitness over 50 years old is definitely attainable.
