P90X Review Day 1 of Round 2:
WOW! That’s really all I have to say after finishing Chest & Back and ARX. I haven’t done that full workout in about 5 months, and let me tell you, I felt like I was going to get sick! About 3/4 the way through it, I felt extremely nauseated! But that’s normal, and I expected that to happen because I had been though it before. My arms are shaking as I am typing this, and I’m still a little lightheaded as well.
I decided a few weeks ago that I was going to take a break from resistance workouts, and focus only on cardio. Well after doing 2 weeks of nothing but cardio, I must have burned quite a bit of muscle, much more than I expected. Instead of doing mostly HIIT, I was focusing more on low intensity fat burning. But I learned recently that low intensity cardio burns about 75% fat and 25% muscle. Because I had focused so much on cardio, I had trouble with my push-ups, and had a lot of trouble with the second round of C&B. I was still able to keep up with Tony and the Gang, but normally I can do quite a bit more than them. It shouldn’t take long for me to gain most of my strength back, but I learned a good lesson.
