My P90X Review: Day 3, Round 2

I figured it would be good to give my P90X review for Day 3, Round 2. After a minor setback on Wednesday because of food poisoning, I got right back on track yesterday with Shoulders & Arms and ARX. Believe it or not, I was still sore yesterday from Chest & Back, which I did on Monday. I haven’t been that sore since I first started the program way back in March. Anyways, I had an awesome workout yesterday and seriously brought it!

One thing I did notice, however, was that my strength has seriously decreased in the last month, and I know exactly why. Before this week, the previous 2.5 weeks I spent focusing on cardio only, and most of it was low-intensity, which burns both muscle and fat. It was frustrating because I was up to using 50 lb dumbbells for bicep curls, and I could only use 40 lbs yesterday, and that was still a little too heavy. I am also back on NO-Explode again, and very thankful for that because my energy was beginning to decrease during my workouts. However, I found out that when I was off NOX I became addicted to coffee and Sugar Free AMP Energy Drink. So I think the NOX isn’t as effective anymore because my body is becoming dependent on caffeine, and it takes a lot more to give me that extra kick.

I also forgot how awesome Ab Ripper X was. It has been a long while since I have done it, and it is one excellent workout. This is the first time in a few months that I have had sore abs!

Today is supposed to be Kenpo day, but I want to get a better cardio than Kenpo, so I am going to do some HIIT at the gym. I’m heading there now, so it’s time to BRING IT!
