Supplements to Gain Mass

Supplements to Gain Mass

I have decided that I’m going to start creating videos again with tips, and for the next few videos I’m going to focus on gaining mass with P90X. This first video I talk about mass gaining supplements! There are so many people who come to me and ask “how to gain mass with P90X,” so I figured this would be a great way to explain it to you all. I think this will tie you all over until the new mass gaining program “Body Beast” comes out here in the next few months!

If you have any questions whatsoever about gaining mass with P90X, feel free to reach out to me at coachspence8@yahoo.com or on Facebook!

    Hey Josh,
I have a few questions about gaining mass, I know that I need a calorie surplus but I find it easiest to use the p90x portion approach. So I was wondering, how would a calorie surplus fit in to the portion approach… Right now I should be taking in 1800 calories, should I just switch to level 2 eating which would be 2400 cals a day so I’d be at a 600 cal surplus or would I gain to much body fat from that? Please help, I’m so confused. Also will I lose my abs from a calorie surplus? Also, I plan on using resistance bands for some of the shoulder exercises do you still think can make gains when using bands? Thanks in advance!

@Tommy. 2,400 would probably be a good amount to start with, but you might have to increase from there. If you start to notice an increase in body fat, though, then decrease slightly. You will have to mess around with your diet until you find a comfortable amount to take in. Also, the bands are good, but they aren’t weights.

thanks! I have weights but i heard that its safer to not do too much heavy stuff with shoulders like shoulder presses and straight arm flys. Also, what is your username on myfitnesspal? I would like to add you so I can see some off the things you are eating.

@Tommy. I stick with 8-12 reps. Also, I’m pretty sure my SN is JS1baseball, but I haven’t used it in quite a while.

I’m a little late to this post…but I was wondering what to do if I didn’t necessarily want to get that much bigger but didn’t really want to lose any weight. Basically I want more definition but don’t want to waste away. I’m 6’5″ and 208 currently. Should I take supplements to maintain? In the past, if I work hard at it, I lose weight quickly and easily. Thanks for the help!

  6. @Terence. That’s just going to consist of you taking in the perfect amount of calories and the right food each day. As far as supplements, I use Shakeology, whey protein, Suma, and E&E.
