P90X Ab Ripper X

p90x ab ripper xFor those of you who have been doing P90X, you know just how tough P90X Ab Ripper X really is! Seriously, if you’re looking for an entire core workout, you’re not going to find one much better that the P90X ab workout, which is Ab Ripper X, or ARX for short. This workout is brutal, and will help you get that desired 6-pack you’ve always dreamed about! If you’re looking to find out how to get ripped abs, look no further because P90X Ab Ripper X will help you get what you want!

My Ab Ripper X Review: When I first started P90X and went through the first P90X workout, Chest & Back, I thought I was out of the water after I did my last dive bomber push-up. I collapsed on the floor and laid there for a minute, only to hear some strange, eerie music come on in the background. I looked up, and sure enough, there it was, the beginning of Ab Ripper X! I thought there was no way I would be able to complete the workout, as I was already light-headed and shaky, but somehow managed to push myself and complete the whole thing. Don’t even think that I was able to complete it without pausing, because I had to pause it at least 10-15 times! The worst part about the workout was that I felt it more in my lower back and upper legs than anything. Was this normal? I thought I was supposed to feel it more in my abs? After doing some reasearch and talking to others who have compelted the workout, I found out this was completely normal. Like I mentioned above, the P90X Ab Workout works the entire core, not just the abs, so you will feel it in your legs and back as well.

Most people really struggle with this workout at first, and not sure what they should do about it. The best thing you can do is complete all the reps, even if you have to pause it 20-30 times! However, this doesn’t mean you can’t push yourself, because you should always feel that burn with the last rep. If you don’t, then you’re not pushing yourself hard enough. The way to make progress each week is by building the abs and core muscles just as you build every other muscle in your body. The abs are no different!

However, the one thing that everyone must understand is that you MUST have the proper diet if you want to see the abs! You can do the P90X Ab Workout, or ARX, over and over again, but you won’t ever see the abs unless you eat properly. That means you have to watch the amount of calories you take in and limit the carbs. Follow the P90X Nutrition Guide! The Fat Shredder Phase is excellent, and will help you burn that fat around the midsection to reveal your brand new, toned abs. Believe me, if you don’t eat right, you will get discouraged, and end up quitting the program. Remember, diet makes up 80% of your results!

OMG – I have had the same experience with Ab Ripper X! After two weeks I was able to put my hands up during some of the moves, but the Mason Twist still eludes me… I have to pause at least once to get all 40 – have yet to do all the extras! The first place I have noticed a difference though is in my abs… IT WORKS!!!! It’s a love/hate thing!! πŸ™‚

    hey Josh –

I was just following up on some recent orders by calling the Beachbody 800 number. Got connected to a guy in India – near Pune – LOL due to my work I deal with a group offshore in Pune India actually. Anyhow – if you want to pass on the message, the guy was much more helpful when I used some of my Hindi – Shubh Ratri (Shooba Ratrie) means “Good Evening” – they are about 9 hours ahead of US Eastern time, Shubh Diwas (Shoobah DiVas) means “Good Day”… as with any human being they enjoy and go above and beyond for people who respect and go out of their way to observe their culture. Just wanted to share that!!!

The world is so America centric, people really appreciate efforts to bridge the language/cultural divide.

I know so many people get frustrated dealing with call centers in India and Asia – thought I’d share this because most of the experiences I have with them have been wonderful.

    Regards,
    Glenna

Feel free to delete that previous comment! It really isn’t on topic – I tried to delete it, but it won’t let me πŸ™‚

My experience was quite the same, except I was able to do all 50 mason twists about half way through my first round of p90x. But I still cant make it thru the middle 3 exercises without pausing. I still feel it in my upper thighs for sure.

Mason Twist – I can do 50 reps and I don’t feel burning in my ABS. I’m rather exhausted…

BEfore I started Ab ripper X I had been doing some exercises [weighted mason twist (10kg)]. IS that why I don’t feel burning at all?Should I also put some weight during mason twist?

  7. Josh /

@Martin. Yeah. it’s because you have been doing weighted twists. Add in some weight for the mason twists. Also, have you made me your coach yet? If not, you can do so by clicking on this link: https://teambeachbody.com/signup/-/signup/free/47458

Yes I have an exactly same issue on my upper thighs and lower back now.
Even I finished two rounds of P90X six months ago, a half of my core muscle strength is gone and I need to rebuild it again. It’s a life time training.

  10. I can’t actually lift myself off the floor in the feet up roll ups or the one where you have to touch your toes, I have to pull myself up by holding on to my leg. Is there another way of doing this to be more effective?

  11. @Mark. That sounds like a good way to modify it. It sounds like you need to work on your flexibility as well! Do some Yoga!
